2010 Cable Upfronts: TNT Leverages Sundays For Originals by Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News
"Hutton's Series Moves To TV's Most-Watched Night; Spielberg's Fallen Skies Set For Summer 2011 Debut"
New York — Although an appearance from TBS's new late-night man Conan O'Brien stole the show, TNT made some news of its own at the network's joint upfront presentation to advertisers here today. The "drama network" announced that it will move to a fourth night of original programming this summer, joining the fray on TV's most-watched night by shifting Timothy Hutton-starrer Leverage into the 9 p.m. hour on Sundays.
In addition, TNT hopes to heat up the warm-weather months with the return of the sixth season of cable's top-rated show, The Closer, on Mondays at 9 p.m. It will be followed by Rizzoli & Isles, starring Angie Harmon and who as a Boston homicide detective and medical examiner team based in Boston in what Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies, called the "most compatible" lead-out ever from the Kyra Sedgwick-hit Jada Pinkett Smith's tough nurse series Hawthorne and Jason Lee and Alfre Woodard's new Memphis Beat detective show will pair on Tuesdays, while Dark Blue shifts to Wednesdays. The final campaign of Holly Hunter's Saving Grace will also play out this summer.
The sophomore season of Ray Romano's Men of a Certain Age will return late this year, with fresh installments of Southland, the LA police drama discarded by NBC, set for 2011.
Moreover, summer 2011 will mark the landing of Steven Spielberg's post-alien invasion series, Fallen Skies, starring Noah Wylie. TNT also showcased clips and cast members, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Breckin Meyer and Malcolm McDowell, in the recently greenlit, barrister buddy series Franklin & Bash. On the development side, TNT has a number of projects cooking: an untitled medical show, centering on doctors at an urgent-care clinic in LA circa 1971, executive-produced by Don Cheadle; Graysmith, which is based on the life of cartoonist, writer and part-time private eye Robert Graysmith; Green Detective, orbiting an environmentalist looking for truth as an adjuster for a large insurance firm; Brain Trust, about a quartet of brilliant, but social awkward academics who solve crimes; Jamie Foxx's Miss Philly, which examines the quiet suburbs and ubran war zones of Philadelphia, where the mayor has hired the city's first African-American police commissioner; and Dear God, a look into the U.S. Postal Service's dead letters bureau.

by Rose
I hope to be able to do a nice size video/audio update thru out this week. I have so much on this list I want to get done with this update... it will be fun to see what I actually do get done. I'll try to post as I go this time, but please check the multimedia gallery daily just in case I don't.
I wanted to let everyone know that I am working very very hard to resolve the issues that have the boards down at the moment. Not sure exactly what the problem is, but I have written to Surpass, my hosting company, asking for them to restore it to a previous setting. If this has to happen we will likely lose a couple days of posting. It'll work out, no worries. Just know the boards will be back up ASAP
21 Apr 2010: Concert Review: Christian Kane Rules Portland
by Rose
Christian Kane Rules Portland - Published April 21, 2010 by Theresa Burch
On a warm April evening, people began to gather outside of Dante's, a bar in the Entertainment District of Portland, Oregon. The sign hanging on the door noted that the club would be opening following sound check, shortly after 8pm. There was a party atmosphere on the sidewalk outside the iconic club as more and more people arrived. And they weren't just from the local area. There were fans from all over the United States, not to mention a few from other countries.
But it wasn't even 6:00 yet - who could inspire fans to get in line more than two hours before the doors opened? More than one curious passerby paused to ask that very question. The band with such loyal followers is known as Kane and is fronted by Christian Kane, currently one of the stars of the hit TNT show, Leverage. Founded in 1998 by Christian and fellow guitarist, Steve Carlson, Kane became an LA marvel, getting airplay from country radio and playing to sold out crowds in such hot spots as The Viper Room and The Mint. Christian and Steve also started making regular trips to Nashville where they collaborated with some of the best songwriters in the industry. read full review here
